‘The Walking Dead’ Fans Are Pretty Sure They Spotted A Donald Trump Zombie

A few years ago, HBO got into some hot water when former president George W. Bush’s decapitated head appeared on Game of Thrones. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss explained on the season one DVD commentary that they weren’t making a political statement, “we just had to use whatever head we had around.” After HBO caught wind of what happened, and called the scene “unacceptable, disrespectful, and in very bad taste,” the showrunners clarified, “What happened was this: we use a lot of prosthetic body parts on the show: heads, arms, etc. We can’t afford to have these all made from scratch, especially in scenes where we need a lot of them, so we rent them in bulk.” It just so happened that one of the heads looked like Bush.

The Walking Dead fans should probably keep what happened on Thrones in mind during a moment from Sunday’s episode, when a certain zombie looked like a certain man who’s running for president of a certain country.

The resemblance isn’t uncanny, exactly, but Trump and the walker do look somewhat similar (they have the same hair and puffy jowls). It was enough for ComicBook.com to reach out to AMC, which confirmed that it was “just another walker”… which is exactly what Negan would want us to think.
