The guys over on Splitsider have unearthed Dave Chappelle’s one-and-only stab at a sitcom, Buddies, which was a spin-off of Home Improvement, featuring two of Tool Time’s guest, played by Chappelle and Jim Breuer. I had completely and totally forgotten the sitcom ever existed, but ABC aired five episodes before canceling it. Splitsider has the lowdown on the entire series, and it’s a fascinating read. You can watch the scene from Home Improvement that launched the series above (starting at the 1:00 mark) and several episodes over on Splitsider.
