Here are the facts:
Starz gave Michael Bay a show about pirates. It debuts in January. The network has already greenlit a second season. It will focus on Captain Flint from Treasure Island — 20 years before the events in the book — and will be set in New Providence, which is described as “the most notorious criminal haven of its day — a debauched paradise teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers, a place defined by both its enlightened ideals and stunning brutality.” Starz released the first official trailer at New York Comic-Con this weekend. There are sexy ladies and explosions. It’s posted below.
