As you may have heard, Jon Stewart, the host of The Daily Show, called it quits today after a remarkable 16 years on air. During tonight’s episode, Stewart briefly addressed the audience, all of whom had no idea what was going on. “It’s been an absolute privilege, it’s been the honor of my profession,” he said.
There’s no immediate timetable for Stewart’s departure and he says that, for now, he has no concrete plans for his post-Daily Show life other than to occasionally have dinner with his “lovely” family.
