Franklin & Bash (TNT, 10:00 p.m.) – Season premiere. Please sit down or lean on something sturdy because I have important news: Franklin and Bash are running the firm now. They are in charge. That’s what’s happening this season. I am not joking. This is amazing. And speaking of amazing, please find a Franklin & Bash-themed song titled “Got Your Back” by DJ Steve Porter at the top of this page. Everything is wonderful.
Suits (USA, 9:00 p.m.) – Last week Louis Litt marched into Harvey’s office and announced “I’ve made a huge mistake,” exactly like GOB Bluth, but serious. All I wanted in the whole world was for Harvey to rip off his mask and reveal that he has been Gene Parmesan all along. Still could happen, I suppose. Something to keep an eye on.
Legends (TNT, 9:00 p.m.) – Series premiere. From TV Guide: “Deep undercover agent Martin Odum (Sean Bean) tries to reconnect with his estranged family following an assignment, but he must return to work when a terror group announces an imminent attack.” It would be hilarious if Sean Bean dies in the premiere. Please let this happen.
The Bridge (FX, 10:00 p.m.) – Jesus Mighty, could I ever have done without Marco going like 30% Mountain/Red Viper on David Tate at the end of last week’s episode. Between this season of The Bridge and the season premiere of The Knick, I’m spending a lot of time looking anywhere else but the screen while watching prestige television.
Wahlburgers (A&E, 10:00 p.m.) – Season premiere. Still can’t believe this is a show, to be honest.
Wilfred (FXX, 10:00 p.m.) – Series finale. Wilfred turns off the lights and locks the doors tonight after four seasons, with Ryan finally learning the truth about his canine pal. Good night, sweet prince and narcotics-consuming dog.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Taylor Swift and Andrew Rannels are on Fallon; Mickey Rourke, Matthew Weiner, Roger Bennett, and Michael Davies are on Meyers; and Martin Lawrence, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jonah Ray are on Conan. Everyone else is in reruns.
