Lights Out (FX) — Series finale. I felt kinda bad about not getting into this; I heard from plenty of readers and critics that it was really good, but I had a hard time forcing myself to watch a show with a premise I didn’t particularly like. And when I finally tuned in, I found it underwhelming — probably because what few fans the show had were so vehement. TV fans (and critics) are like that: if a good show isn’t being watched by enough people, they’ll tell you that oh my God you just HAVE to watch it, and then it ends up feeling like a trip to the dentist. I’m guilty of this myself with a couple shows — except for the part about saying you HAVE to watch something. Go outside and exercise.
Pregnant in Heels (Bravo) — Series premiere. Everything about this show gives me douche chills: British “maternity concierge” Rosie Pope advises her wealthy impregnated Manhattan clientele on the ins and outs of child care for the very rich. Here, lemme help out. “Step 1: hire a Caribbean woman to raise your child.” (There are no other steps.)
Silent Library (MTV) — Sounds riveting.
The Good Wife (CBS) — Michael J. Fox guest stars again. As with all of his appearances as wily lawyer Louis Canning, I direct you to this image.
