Hannibal returned last week for its third season on NBC, and it’s pretty evident the show has strayed a bit from its procedural beginnings. In the opening episode — aptly titled, “Antipasto” — we found out that Dr. Lecter had taken up residence in Europe with Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson). Hiding in plain sight seemed to mostly be working out for him, until the episode’s bloody end.
In tomorrow’s episode, “Primavera,” the story backpedals a bit to catch up with Will Graham after the gruesome events that transpired in last season’s finale. As you can see from the clips here, our favorite quirky criminal profiler eventually picks up the pieces and soon finds himself in Italy, hot on Lecter’s trail.
Looks like last week’s episode truly was just the appetizer to the buffet awaiting us.
