The world lost an icon on Friday when Leonard Nimoy passed away at the age of 83 and William Shatner lost a friend and colleague that he had known for five decades. It’s impossible to know what that loss feels like on a personal level, but Shatner — who will unfortunately not be able to attend Nimoy’s funeral — took to Twitter today to share some kind words and memories about Nimoy with Star Trek fans through the #LeonardNimoy hashtag.
