Stephen King called this week’s Fargo the best thing he’s seen on TV “in the last three years,” but let’s also give it up for another FX(X) show in its second season. You’re the Worst, as previously established, is the best; it’s hilarious, terrifying, inspiring, and as depressing as listening to Elliott Smith while watching Grave of the Fireflies. It’s also going to be back for a third season, premiering sometime in summer 2016. According to a press release:
“[Creator Stephen Falk] is one of the best new talents in comedy – as funny, thoughtful, and original as You’re the Worst and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with next,” said [co-president of Original Programming Nick] Grad. “You’re the Worst, already one of the most critically-acclaimed comedies on TV, is also one of the most innovative, something Stephen and the cast will continue in the much-deserved third season. The daring turn this season, led by the honest and respectful portrayal of Gretchen’s depression, was a very courageous move for a comedy and another milestone for You’re the Worst.”
An easier way of saying that would be, new season, who dis?
Anyway, more You’re the Worst is fantastic news, and I can’t wait to see how it emotionally destroys me next. This round of trash juice is on me.
