Cameron Stewart Makes Catwoman Comics Good Again (for Two Pages)

So, the current Catwoman comic is pretty damn terrible. This is nothing new — most Catwoman comics have been terrible. Generally speaking DC Editorial’s stance on the character has been “She’s got big jugs, a tight suit and a whip. Her comics don’t actually need to be good.”

There was one shining moment though when Catwoman comics were not only good, but some of the best on the stands. This was of course the era from the early 2000s when Catwoman was being written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by awesome artists like Darwyn Cooke and Cameron Stewart.

Well, here’s some good news for those hoping to wash the taste of the current Catwoman run out of their mouths — Cameron Stewart has drawn two new pages of Selina Kyle in action for a comic designed to promote DC’s line of Converse Chuck Taylors. The shoes are a little garish, but the pages, featuring colors by Antonio Fabela, are gorgeous. Check them out after the jump.

You can download the entire fully lettered promotional comic featuring brief origin stories of other DC Universe heroes here. Also check out Cameron Stewart’s website for more fully rad art.
