Exclusive Preview: ‘Supergirl’ #21

Supergirl started as one of the best books in the New 52 and has only gotten stronger. Kara Zor-El has found herself struggling with a planet she doesn’t want to live on, a man she fell in love with who became a monster, and is now facing death by Kryptonite poisoning. Which means she’s going to live her life to the fullest while she can, in this preview of Supergirl #21, out next week.

As you can see from this preview, Kara’s making the most of the time she has left and, poisoned or not, she’s still Supergirl. And she’ll still answer distress calls… even if they make no sense.

Going behind the scenes, Michael Alan Nelson launched his run quite well, with a very funny “breather” issue with Kara fighting a witheringly sarcastic Kryptonian house as it tried to bump her off for being a “clone” of Power Girl. This seems to be bringing the tone back to the emotional struggles Kara is facing, and we’ll be curious to see what Nelson has planned. But until then…
