‘Son Of Batman’ Will Help Us Forget The ‘Batman vs Superman’ Delays

Damian Wayne was introduced as Batman and Talia al Ghul’s son in 2006’s Batman and Son by Grant Morrison, and now the character is being resurrected in Son Of Batman. The first trailer is above.

The animated feature veers from the original storyline by adding Deathstroke the Terminator (also seen recently as Slade Wilson on Arrow). DC has also lined up an impressive voice cast:

Jason O’Mara (Grey’s Anatomy) returns to voice Batman after taking on the cowl in Justice League: War. Morena Baccarin (Homeland) voices Talia al-Ghul, Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) is Ra’s al-Ghul, Xander Berkeley (24) is Man-Bat and Thomas Gibson (Criminal Minds) is Deathstroke. Stuart Allan, who played a student on the TV version of Bad Teacher, is the voice of Damian.

I’m just going to post this GIF of my favorite part.

Batman may act gruff toward Damian, but we all know what he’s really thinking.

Son of Batman arrives on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD this spring, with another animated Batman movie coming later this year. That’ll help us forget about those Batman versus Superman delays.
