Let’s Liveblog Wednesday’s Geeky TV: ‘Arrow’ Pits Brother Against Brother

Hey, remember when Diggle’s younger brother he thought was dead turned out to be alive, and they thought he could be redeemed. Yeah, if the trailer above is any indication, that was kind of a mistake.

Last week’s episode of Arrow was all about feelings: A Black Canary knock-off was angry that nothing had worked out quite the way it was supposed to for the city, and Laurel and Ollie felt bad about the death of Tommy in season one. It ended with Ollie promising to kill Damien Darhk. Which would be nice, not least because then maybe he’d stop lecturing everybody about how killing is wrong when he’s got a double-digit body count.

In addition to scary Diggle-on-Diggle torture, this episode will also feature Thea trying to patch up her relationship with Ollie’s former campaign manager by going on vacation, which is interrupted by men with guns, because Thea can’t have nice things either. Also, Darhk is finally going to unveil the evil plan he won’t stop talking about, which involves growing food in bunkers for some reason. We’re sure it’s something appropriately apocalyptic, especially as he’s got Malcolm in his employ, and Malcolm tried to destroy the city with an earthquake machine. Really, at this point, if you want to trash Starling City, you’ve got to bring your A-game evil plot. We’ll find out just what Darhk has planned tonight at 8pm EST on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
