James Gunn Gives A Glimpse At ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ With A Cast Announcement On The Way

Currently bashing yourself in the head with a wrench in hopes that you’ll wake up from your coma just in time for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? We understand your plight — waiting for things sucks — but maybe some very early glimpses from the film’s prep stage can perk you up? Also, comas don’t work like that — probably.

Writer-director James Gunn has added to his collection of social media treats for obsessive fans with a trio of new pictures related to the motion picture. Would you like to see Michael Rooker (a.k.a. Yondu Udonta) look like a total cuddlebug during a rehearsal? Gunn has you covered.

A bit more intense than your average Facebook photo, but we’ll take it all the same. On Instagram, Gunn shared another rehearsal photo (complete with a cameo appearance from his dog Von Spears), plus a lovely dining photo.

Meanwhile, Gunn offered up some additional details on what his highly anticipated Marvel film via the 140 characters or less wonderland that is Twitter. Here’s what Gunn had to say about when we might be able to expect a formal full cast reveal.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is currently earmarked for release on May 5, 2017. You’re allowed to start freaking out about it now, though.
