Christopher Nolan is a writer and director who is best known for the most recent Batman trilogy, as well as films like Memento and Inception. His next project is Dunkirk, a World War II drama about the real-life evacuation of 300,000 Allied troops who were surrounded by Germans in France.

Harry Styles is a British pop star who is best known as the hearthrobbiest member of the boy band One Direction, as well as someone whose hair often appears to be running away from his face. His next project is also Dunkirk, a World War II drama about the real-life evacuation of 300,000 Allied troops who were surrounded by Germans in France.

To clarify: Christopher Nolan has cast Harry Styles in an unspecified role in Dunkirk.

Styles will join Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, and Kenneth Branagh in the film, which will star newcomer Fionn Whitehead. And lest you think I’m just throwing the word newcomer around haphazardly, please note Whitehead’s IMDb, which currently features one credit — a character named HIM in an upcoming miniseries called Him — and no picture. I imagine he and fellow newcomer Styles will have plenty to talk about.

WHITEHEAD: Wow, this is so weird.

STYLES: I know, right?

WHITEHEAD: I’m not used to this many people looking at me.

STYLES: I’ve performed in Wembley Stadium in front of 100,000 people.

WHITEHEAD: Oh. Right.

Just a couple of young actors talkin’ shop.
