If you’re looking to kill 10 minutes, you could do much worse than watching Parks and Recreation blooper reels. Or re-watching, especially if they’re centered around Chris Pratt. I’m not sure how many times I’ve seen the “comeback” clip, but it’s in the dozens, at least. Pratt is a natural at improv, and he showed off his skills during a round of Playground Insults with his gravity-defying Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence for BBC Radio 1.
Choice burns include:
-“Why did they call it Joy?”
The contest could have ended there, but Lawrence and Pratt kept going.
-“It’s such a shame to meet somebody you thought you’d like.”
-“How does it feel being in the stupidest Marvel movie?”
-“I recently told you that you act like Adele sings. I hate Adele.”
-After Lawrence said, “Before our sex scene, I took two Pepto-Bismol,” Pratt fired back, “During our sex scene, I felt your dick rubbing into me.”
Lawrence got some good zingers in there — I’m fond of “I really loved you in Everwood, said no one ever,” “You are so old that your publicist is a registered nurse,” and “Where do you keep your Oscar?” — but this contest obviously goes to Pratt. What does he win? A butt scratcher, probably.
