Mark Wahlberg And LeBron James Want To Make A Movie Together That Sadly Isn’t ‘Space Jam 2’

Unlike Mark Wahlberg, who quit his day job of rapping in Calvin Klein underwear to become a Hollywood star, LeBron James is able to balance being one of the greatest NBA players ever with his acting career. Ohio’s greatest hero (and Oakland’s number-two villain, after Mark Davis) was the best thing about Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck, and he’s done some voice work on Teen Titans Go! and SpongeBob SquarePants. Space Jam 2 might eventually, maybe, potentially happen (anything’s possible, now that Cleveland has a championship title), but until then, he’s working on a separate project with Marky Mark.

On Tuesday’s The Tonight Show, Wahlberg told Donald Trump’s BFF, Jimmy Fallon, that he and LeBron are “talking about doing a movie together. It’s actually a great idea. It’s based around the fantasy league, so these guys get to go to one of these fantasy camps, and me and LeBron have a situation.” The key to any good comedy is having a situation, so this sounds promising.

Or maybe Wahlberg’s trying to throw us off the scent, and he’s actually starring in Space Jam 2 with LeBron? He’ll play the role originated by Shawn Bradley. Now producers just have to find shorts long enough for his… y’know.
