Live Nation and Irving Plaza are at the center of another lawsuit for failing to protect the patrons at their event. TMZ reports that two attendees that were trampled at T.I.’s last concert, which ended early because of a shooting, filed a claim against both parties. Both fans are alleging the venue’s security did not do an adequate job of searching the patrons attending the concert and are therefore responsible for the damages they incurred.

Vincent Provenzano, the attorney for the concertgoers, said his “clients were trampled in the chaos of people rushing for exits during the shooting.” The plaintiffs in the case say they’ve suffered “suffered serious physical injuries and mental anguish.”

This is the second lawsuit filed against both parties since the original shooting in May. Troy Ave himself filed a suit against them using the same logic as the attendees but with a slight twist. In his lawsuit, Troy is alleging “if a gun hadn’t been inside Irving Plaza the shooting would’ve never happened. Because security failed at their job, Leemon [his attorney] thinks Irving Plaza and Live Nation are responsible for the shooting.” Well that’s, uh, certainly one way to frame it.

After the shooting, T.I. offered his condolences and said his “prayers are with all those injured.”
