Shaq’s ‘Fade’ Video Hilariously Takes On Kanye’s Original

Shaq’s a fool. The man is just one big and tall goofball who just so happens to have spent 20 years of his life playing NBA basketball and nabbing a couple of championship rings in the process. So, what’s a goofball to do while he waits for the NBA season to start back up? Try to hilariously recreate Kanye’s ‘Fade’ music video, duh!

The Shaqtin’ A Fool creator skipped the gym, spandex and the coconut oil for his version, instead seductively shimmying in his red and white striped drawers from the comfort of his own home. Because who amongst us hasn’t tried to copy Teyana Taylor’s ‘Fade’ choreography?! If you have, Shaq has a challenge. Along with the funny video, the 44-year-old NBA great challenged others to beat the awesomeness of his clip, writing on Instagram, “Feeling faded #remixchallenge can anyone beat this?” No takers so far.

Since (finally) being released on YouTube, the “Fade” video has amassed nearly 12 million views, 200,000 likes and has been parodied a bunch of times. James Corden poked fun at the sultry video in a segment called, “Don’t Exercise In Kanye West’s Gym,” where he played a gym rat not happy with Teyana’s distracting and oily dancing.
