The Tupac Biopic ‘All Eyez On Me’ Gets Another Trailer

We got the first peek at Tupac’s biopic, All Eyez On Me, on what would’ve been the rapper’s 45th birthday two months ago. Now, on the 20th anniversary of his unfortunate passing, we’re getting another trailer of the highly-anticipated movie starring newcomer Demetrius Shipp as the iconic artist, masterful poet and outspoken activist.

The new trailer opens up with the ugly sight of police brutality while Pac angrily addresses a nightclub crowd about “cops killing innocent black folks every day,” a bit that, unfortunately, still plagues black communities decades later. The scenes transition to Afeni Shakur, played by The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira, warning Pac that, as a black leader, he is now a target. It’s a label that he seems to initially reject while scenes of a flashy Pac, Suge Knight and women are interspersed for a more dramatic effect. We also see Pac firing shots, chatting with Biggie (Jamal Woodard) about loyalty, and scenes from the infamous Quad studios shooting in New York City.

Directed by famed video director Benny Boom, and starring Demetrius Shipp (Tupac), Danai Gurira (Afeni Shakur), Kat Graham (Jada Pinkett), Dominic L. Santana (Suge Knight), the must-watch biopic is awaiting a release date.
