Daniel Cormier And Jon Jones Are Fighting On Twitter Instead Of In The Octagon

Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones could have one of the best rivalries in all of MMA. They’re two of the best fighters alive, they’re in the same weight class, and they don’t like each other very much at all. They haven’t fought in large part because of Jones’ substance abuse and Cormier’s injury, but that hasn’t stopped them from going after each other on social media while they wait to duke it out again for real.

After Ovince St. Preux stepped up to fight at UFC 197 in Cormier’s place, the injured fighter offered to train the late replacement to help prepare him for what should be an incredibly difficult matchup. That offer sent Jones off for some reason:

Jones is clearly still annoyed that Cormier pulled out of the fight, but his tone didn’t sit well with Daniel:

Clearly Jones touched a nerve with Cormier, who made a couple of decent points among all the expected rage and bravado. Jones came back once again with the tried-and-true method of belittling someone’s anger as irrelevant, and then things went off the rails:
