This New Japanese Beer Will Allegedly Make You Really, Really Good Looking

There may actually be a beer that makes people look prettier, at least that’s the claim in the above commercial. Japan’s Suntory brewery claims to have invented a beer that will improve your appearance. The suds being ingested in the above commercial is from a new brew they are calling “Precious”. It contains five percent alcohol and two grams of collagen per can.

In the advertisement, Japanese comedian Ken Watanabe (not the famous actor guy) hangs out with a bunch of alcohol sipping ladies. And to further drive the selling point home, he coyly states:

Guys can tell if a girl’s taking collagen or not!

Of course we can! Wait, can we?

Anyway, it’s believed by a large percent of Japan’s female population that taking collagen in liquid or powdered form will transform one’s skin for the better. There’s no actual scientific claim that backs up this belief.

Currently, Precious is only being sold in Hokkaido but it may be only a matter of time before the rest of the country’s population is damaging their livers and increasing their guts all in the name of beauty.
