The Loch Ness Monster endures as one of those legends we just won’t let go, even when recent news about the creature is nothing but movie props and more movie props. Chances are, anything that was in that small body of water in Scotland was just a big ass catfish all along. That doesn’t stop people from getting excited when something else similar to a Wels catfish or giant sea monster of yore pops up in a body of water somewhere. There was that mysterious thing in the River Thames, and now there’s a new mystery in Alaska.
The Alaskan Bureau Of Land Management posted the video above on Facebook this week, stating that Craig McCaa spotted “this strange ‘thing'” between 12 to 15 feet long swirling back and forth in the Chena River in Fairbanks, Alaska. They added some spooky Halloween music, because why not? It’s even a bit creepy without the music:
