I’m going to resist the urge to mention the cliches about cats having nine lives and the way that they always land on their feet, even if the latter is on full display in the above video, which was captured by David Katcsma in Manitoba, Canada as he watched a bit of organized destruction and an unlikely escape.
Talk about a daring escape! A cat scrambled out of a burning hotel in Dauphin, Man., as the building crashed to the ground.
Witness David Katcsma captured the feline’s escape from the Towers Hotel as it was being demolished on Thursday.
I’m also going to ignore the fact that a guy with “Kat” in his name posted a cat video on YouTube even though it’s a clear sign of a magical internet perfect storm. What I want you to do now, though, is to adjust the speed setting of said video to watch this unnamed cat (I’m going to call him Diablo Blaze or Mr. Tummy) do the greatest slow motion action hero escape of all time as he scampers out of the collapsing structure. I’d also like to know a little bit about his back-story and whether the nice lady from the end of the video was able to corral him, but unfortunately some heroes are made out of mystery and destined to fade back into the fog. Heroes like Mr. Tummy.
