An Amazon Customer Received This Nasty Surprise In His Shopping Cart After Complaining To Customer Service

A student and IT contractor living in Ireland alleges that he was the butt of an unprofessional joke after he complained to Amazon.de customer service about an unpleasant shopping experience. The man — who is going only by “Pedro” — claims that after having purchased a textbook he needed for an extracurricular art class he was taking, he was dismayed to receive the previous edition of the book, despite the fact that the Amazon listing did indeed specify the current edition. Pedro contacted Amazon about the mix-up, only to be told several days later that they were not able to find the copy he needed, which ultimately resulted in a lot of wasted time having waited for the book to be delivered, then waiting for an update on the situation.

Irate, Pedro did really the only thing one can do in this situation, and filled out a negative customer satisfaction survey on Amazon. The next time he went to use Amazon, he found this surprise sitting in his shopping cart:

That would be the “Hulk 10.25-inch Huge Dong, Black,” in case you were wondering. While he says that under normal circumstances he’s able to take a joke, Pedro discovered the dildoey surprise at the office, with several colleagues standing behind him. And with no one else having access to his account, Pedro quickly conjectured that the culprit could have only been a disgruntled Amazon employee, retaliating for the negative feedback.

Once again, Pedro got back in touch with customer service, who credited his account €100 and apologized profusely. While he was never able to ascertain an exact motive or admission of guilt, the UK website Ars Technica has done a good amount of legwork to confirm Pedro’s story. It still can’t be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, but they think it checks out:

While it certainly looks like an associate at Amazon placed a giant dildo in a customer’s shopping basket, we cannot prove it. With that said, the €100 “gesture of apology,” the hints from [the customer service rep] that the associate had been fired or changed role, and Amazon not denying the incident, all point towards an uncomfortable truth: the giant dildo really was thrust into Pedro’s shopping basket without his permission.

TL;DR: Piss off the right Amazon customer service rep, and you just might find yourself getting schlonged with a big, black dildo.
