The “Sharknado” franchise isn't raising the bar, says Ian Ziering – it's “creating an entire new bar.”
“'Sharknado' hit Los Angeles and the groundswell of excitement for it was global,” said the “Sharknado 2” star while promoting the forthcoming sequel at San Diego Comic-Con. “I ended up doing press for 'Sharknado' for 5 months because they unrolled it here in North America and in Canada and then it went to Latin America and then it went to Europe and then it went to Asia. This year 'Sharknado 2' is gonna air in 90 countries around the world all within 24 hours…This is a television movie that is doing things that no other TV movie has ever done.”
So how will the highly-anticipated followup compare to its predecessor?
“Thunder Levin and Anthony C. Ferrante, our writer and our director, so creative, so imaginative…they were able to bring other OMG moments to the screen, other drop-jaw, like grab your head, oh my god! moments, that are equally impactful,” And just as entertaining. 'Sharknado 2' is gonna bite just like the first one.”
Ha. Haha! Hahahahaahaha.
