‘Orphan Black’ announces new cast for its fifth and final season

Sadly, Orphan Black's next season will be its last but something tells us Clone Club is going to go out with a big bang. BBC America recently gave fans a sneak peek behind the production and revealed new cast members for Season 5.

Star Tatiana Maslany has received many awards for her time playing eleven different clones on the series created by John Fawcett and Graeme Manson but it wasn't until this year she finally nabbed the Emmy. Clone Club, as the fans are affectionally know, were over the moon but it was the tiniest bit bittersweet knowing the end was near.

Season 5 will feature Maslany as well as the returning Jordan Gavaris (Felix), Kristian Bruun (Donnie), Evelyne Brochu (Delphine), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Mrs. S), Kevin Hanchard (Art), Ari Millen (Ira), Josh Vokey (Scott), Skyler Wexler (Kira), James Frain ( Ferdinand), and yes, Hell Wizard Calwyn Shurgold.

The LA Times has info on the new actors to join the cast including Elyse Levesque as Neolutionist/Detective Engers, Andrew Moodie playing a new consultant to Rachel, Mr. Frontenac, Kira gets a new homeroom teacher named Mr. Mitchell, played by Simu Liu and Jenessa Grant is playing an islander named Mud.

Finally, spoilery for anyone who isn't caught up on the series – they've also cast P.T. Westmoreland, the 170-year-old founder of Neolution. He'll be played by none other than Stephen McHattie and I am so stoked to meet him.

In the meantime, if you haven't seen the video check it out. It features a look at filming a scene from the first episode of Season 5 which happens to pick up around where we left off – with Helena in the woods.
