It’s been years since the world’s started begging Pixar for an Incredibles sequel, and now that Brad Bird is all done with Tomorrowland, he tells NPR that he’s begun the hard work of crafting the second film in one of the studio’s most beloved franchises.
According to the AV Club, Bird’s still got most of his thoughts in his head, but they’re getting ready to make the jump from his brain to the page:
Noting that the main idea for the sequel is “percolating,” he explains, “I’m just starting to write it, so we’ll see what happens.”
It may be a long time yet before the film hits the big screen, but if Bird’s looking for suggestions, he probably couldn’t go wrong with a little more Edna Mode.
