Adele Visited A Seriously Ill Fan While Touring In Northern Ireland

If you’re reading this, I’m going to wager that you’re a living, breathing human being, which automatically puts you in the pro-Adele camp. Just in case there’s a holdout still out there looking for more reasons to like Adele, you may want to read this: When Adele learned that sick, bed-ridden fan Rebecca Gibney wanted a message from the “Hello” singer, she did one better and visited the fan in her home.

Rebecca’s mother Tracey Gibney had been pushing to receive a message from the singer via petitions and contact with Adele’s management. But the singer opted to swing by their home in Belfast between her two sold-out shows in the Northern Ireland capital instead. Gibney explained how the meeting happened in an interview with Belfast Live.

“I was sitting in the hairdresser today and the manager called and said ‘Tracy, it’s Adele’s manager. I am getting back to you because Adele has seen your Rebecca’s pictures and she was very emotional and she wants to come and meet your daughter.’ “

Gibney still seemed surprised by the gesture during the interview.

“I am in shock, I got my baby’s dream to come true. She was so nice, she could not have been nicer. Adele was sat beside her and she was talking to me and my other kid, she was so nice for wee Rebecca. I cannot put it into words what it means.”

This is far from the first time that Adele has gone out of her way to help a superfan. She kicked off her world tour by helping a fan propose to her boyfriend.
