One of the last, and biggest streaming holdouts has finally caved. Starting today, you can finally stream some of the best albums like Hysteria and Pyromania produced by the iconic British rock group Def Leppard. For the longest time, the group was one of the few, like prog-metal legends Tool, who were notably absent from the likes of Apple Music or Spotify. Just like Bob Seger last year, they have apparently worked out whatever issues prevented their music from being enjoyed on those platforms previously, and you are now free and clear to crank “Pour Some Sugar On Me” or “Photograph” as loud as your neighbors will allow.
In even more good news for Leppard fans, the group has announced that they also plan on hitting the road this summer for an extensive tour with their ’80s rock compadres Journey. “The fact that we’re touring with Journey, and it’s putting us into huge arenas like Madison Square Garden and stadiums, that is very special for us,” frontman Joe Elliott told Rolling Stone. “It’s two iconic bands touring together. It makes it more of an event when the bill is all bands that people have heard of. We went out with a really good band called Tripping Daisy in 1996, but nobody cared.
You can stream any number of Def Leppard albums online now, and check out the full list of their upcoming shows below.
