Scarlett Johansson can literally do anything. She kicks ass as the Black Widow, she’s getting married and having babies in real life, and now she’s heading up her own all girl pop band. The actress — who’s already proved she has some serious chops in the singing department after debuting her own album of Tom Waits cover songs and contributing to the Oscar nominated “Before My Time” back in 2013 — is part of a new group called The Singles whose members include Holly Miranda, Kendra Morris, Julia Haltigan and, oh yeah, Este Haim. According to Scar-Jo, the’s band’s sound is ironic electro-pop:

The idea was to write super-pop dance music written and performed by girls. I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go’s. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke.

Their first single, “Candy” doesn’t sound half bad but really, the only thing anyone wants to know is how Johansson recruited one of the Haim sisters into her latest project. (This has Taylor Swift written all over it.)
