Whoa. I knew drummers were bad*ss individuals, but this Australian wunderkind named Kye Smith makes me appreciate ’em on a whole new level. In just five minutes, he plays through all of Blink-182’s discography — from their 1995 debut album Cheshire Cat to 2011’s Neighborhoods (yeah, I kind of forgot about that one, too). It’s a mighty task in and of itself to take on the drumming parts of all 63 songs — Travis Barker’s a beast, you guys — but to do so in such a short time frame is dang near amazing.
Oh, and if hearing the songs “What’s My Age Again?” and “All The Small Things” seems like a sweet/painful smack of nostalgia and instantly makes you feel like an old person, it’s probably because you are: Enema of the State turned 15 last month.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time Smith’s blitzed through pop-punk’s best; he’s released similar clips for both Green Day and NOFX. Maybe someone ought to challenge him to an epic drum battle?
