On a recent episode of Off the Record, Michael Landsberg sat down with Chael Sonnen. During the interview, Landsberg asked Chael about a rumor that he would be meeting with WWE in the near future.
“That’s true, at WrestleMania, that’s fact. I got a call from WWE saying ‘Look, we got WrestleMania, we have a Hall of Fame show coming up in March if you want to come out, we want to talk to you about some stuff.’ If they’re buying me a plane ticket and giving me a great seat to the show, I do enjoy that product. I don’t know what we’re talking about, but I will give you a scoop. Wanderlei Silva was also invited. I don’t know if he’s accepted, and I don’t know if the two are related, but there ya go.”
While that all sounds very intriguing, we have to remember that any time Chael Sonnen says WWE contacted Chael Sonnen, WWE is usually quick to deny it. I guess we’ll have to wait until WrestleMania 31 to see if Chael and Wandy team up to throw Sami Zayn down a flight of stairs or something.
