WWE’s Kane Received His First Major Political Endorsement

Glenn Jacobs, better known to the world at large as the Undertaker’s burnt brother Kane, is currently on an indefinite hiatus from WWE, as he is running for mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. It’s a real thing that’s happening. He has a campaign ad and logo and everything.

Kane has long been one of the most notable and outspoken libertarians in professional wrestling, and last week he picked up an endorsement from another very notable libertarian: former Presidential candidate and current United States Senator Rand Paul.

Paul’s endorsement, via Rare.us:

“The battle for liberty happens at all levels, federal, state and local,” Paul said in a statement shared on social media. “My friend Glenn Jacobs not only made a name for himself in the world of WWE, but for years has labored as a community activist eager to bring more freedom and prosperity to as many people as possible.”

“His small government and pro-liberty philosophy of government – on education, the economy, regulation, taxes and more – is exactly what we need more of in our politics,” Paul added. “It’s why I think Glenn would be an excellent choice for mayor of Knox County.”

Kane is already facing very stiff competition from his Knox County opponents, but if he can continue to pick up high-profile endorsements like this one from Paul, it would certainly go a long way toward building solid support from Republican voters in the area.
