The hits just keep coming on Total Bellas Day, don’t they? Before the premiere of the all-new spinoff starring Brie and Nikki Bella, Daniel Bryan and John Cena (and just a short time after the announcement of the Total Divas season six premiere, starring the same people), WWE and the Total Divas Instagram account broke the news that the happily-married couple of Brie and Daniel are expecting their first child, which is due in the spring of next year.
One of the main reasons Brie retired from pro wrestling this past year is to start a family with Bryan, and their desire to have children has been well-documented on pretty much every corner of WWE programming and in every interview either WWE Superstar has given over the past couple of years.
This is sure to be a pivotal storyline going forward in the Bellas’ pair of reality shows and now that Bryan is General Manager of Smackown Live, one would think that he’ll be taking a lengthy paternity leave next year. It’s hard to argue that anyone in the world of wrestling deserves it more.
Many congratulations to the parents-to-be and many happy returns. (“Happy returns” is a pregnancy thing, right? Probably.)
