It’s been awhile since former two-time Divas Champion Paige has appeared on WWE TV — her last televised match was on Monday Night Raw more than three months ago. Since then, she served a 30-day suspension due to a wellness policy violation, and we also received word she had a neck injury from which she was trying to recover through physical therapy.
It turns out that injury hasn’t healed as quickly as anyone would have liked, because today Paige took to Twitter to announce she would be undergoing neck surgery with Dr. Uribe, the same surgeon who successfully performed Nikki Bella’s neck surgery earlier this year. Paige writes:

Even though the rumor mill has continued to churn that injury or no injury, Paige is leaving WWE — her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio just left the company for a second time — she recently addressed the rumors and said she is going nowhere.
Paige is just the latest in a number of WWE Superstars who have landed on the operating table in recent months, most notably being Finn Bálor, who earlier this week underwent a stem cell transplant to try and help speed the recovery process of his injured shoulder along.
