If you’re wondering what the hell ever happened to Josh Hartnett, wonder no more: He has landed in the upcoming Showtime series, Penny Dreadful, alongside Eva Green. The series comes from writer John Logan (Skyfall, Hugo, Aviator) and executive producer Sam Mendes (American Beauty). The series weaves together the origins of literary horror characters, such as Victor Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and Count Dracula, as they grapple with their monstrous alienation in Victorian London. Timothy Dalton and Doctor Who’s Billie Piper also star. The series premieres in May.
