In the past, Broadway shows have had a wide range of source material, from The Lion King and Aladdin, to SpongeBob SquarePants, Saved by the Bell, Full House, and even Dexter. But, according to James Corden, there are so many other options for source material. And so, with the help of noted musical theater lovers Nathan Lane and Rachel Bloom, Corden tackled classic scenes from The Terminator, The Exorcist, and Se7en.
These certainly took an interesting approach to the movies. Regan MacNeil got more of her voice heard in “Mr. Exorcist Man,” the “I’ll be back” scene from Terminator had a lot more foreshadowing, and, most notably, there was a hidden lesson in Se7en this whole time. And to think, we would miss out on these adjustments and more by solely going with the cinematic versions of these scripts.
