When disturbingly sh*tty news surfaces, I often turn to find solace in the joy and simplicity that baby elephants offer. Among the cuties that help me momentarily cope? There’s the little elephant who takes a bath for the first time; the one that loves to give hugs, and, of course, this adorably drowsy fella. Now, thanks to the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona, we have footage of a two-week-old baby elephant using its trunk to playfully blow bubbles in the water.
I fondly remember learning how to swim and creating my own bubbles in the YMCA pool. It was fun then and I’m pretty sure it’s still fun now — whether you’re five or 27, a bratty kid or baby elephant.
