As we said in Smack, it’s not like Jason Richardson tried anything crazy last night, going with a conservative one-handed dunk that he’s probably been making since he was 13. But somehow he missed it.
Jason Richardson owes not the team but the organization a steak dinner with all the trimmings
shameful and ultra embarrassing.
but, the Suns were not gonna win this game anyway.
they can NEVER beat the spurs no matter how hard they try.
Steve Nash halftime interview was hysterical.
“..a lotta defense. thats what you get when you play the Suns”….
I had a feeling something was going to go wrong on that play. J-Rich is unreliable when jumping off one foot. I really expected him to lay it up anyway, just because he has zero lift unless he goes off two feet. I can’t think of another player with a greater jumping disparity between one and two feet.
#3 hit it right on the money. When I saw the take off I knew bad things were gonna happen.
Good game. It had been a while since I watched an afternoon game. Its good to know that Mike Torico still homers for whichever team is playing the Spurs, Blair has bad knees, and Lopez has a twin brother in the NBA.
I thought the same thing as you guys. I thought he just jumped too earlier and miss timed it. It just looked awkward for some reason.
He should have gone between the legs.
This dude is 6’6. He barely even needs to jump to dunk. We’re not talkin about nate robinson here
i like how the camera catches his face after he realizes he botched the dunk…
but yeah i dont think its a matter of him getting no lift off 1 leg (even though that might be true) bc the vid clearly shows that he is high enough to easily put it down
He looked back to long, like coaches in track say, ‘Never look back’.
By the time he looked back the right way it was past time to dunk it and well….there are your results lol.
I’m still blamin’ the loss on Steve Nash deciding to pass the ball to someone at the free throw line with under a second left in the game and down by THREE POINTS. Why isn’t anyone talking about that dang it?!
you can tell Nash got in air with the intent of passing to Frye BEHIND the 3-point line. don’t know why Frye didn’t stay there.
that said, Nash probably should have just shot it; not enough time for a pass
Spurs suck. We would have beaten them a few times already but you know something called luck has been against us. And it reared its ugly head again.
I LOVE Steve Nash but I dont think he should have joked about a topic that is the sole reason why people have dogged on the Suns for ages. Even Sir Charles who played no defense craps on the Suns for no defense. He is a very funny guy but that was not the time I think
@ 2 and 3
How could you possibly know that?! YEah he may have lifted off with one leg but unless you have studied Jason Richardson’s whole career or at least a significant part of it to make such a statement, please keep your asinine opinions to yourself. Ridiculous? How can you say I thought something bad was gonna happen?
Steve’s natural instinct came to the fore. Perhaps he should have take the shot but Channing Frye was momentarily behind the 3pt line but then headed to the basket but by then the pass was already made. Shit happens!
Richardson is awful, he’s going to lose his job fast when his explosion goes
Damn, Rizwan homers for the Suns more than Mike Torico.
@ Mike Mihalow
gotta speak for my team
Steve’s natural instinct to pass? Came at the BUZZER?! WTH why are you cats letting him off the hook for that *smashing keyboard* lol!
I can’t see why passing to someone at the buzzer when you have an open 3 doesn’t have its own Dime article like JRich’s dunk miss. I guess I’m alone on that one.
is it just me or does it seem that richardson has loss some of that explosivness that he once had
