Well, would you look at that, it’s Michael Jordan’s 53rd birthday today. Happy birthday, Mike! He’s possibly the greatest basketball player ever, he owns his own basketball team, and his line of shoes is the most coveted in the world. So, what do you get for the man who seemingly has everything? A box of Cuban cigars? Probably appreciated, but also probably redundant — you know he’s got a humidor full of them already. A membership at Augusta National Golf Club? Now we’re talking, but it still isn’t what’s closest to MJ’s heart.

You know and I know that there’s nothing Michael enjoys more than winning. And not just winning, but winning in such a way that removes an opponent’s will. Throughout his career, Jordan delighted in when he could really send a message. So, for his birthday, we compiled our favorite moments of MJ straight-up embarrassing fools.

Before we get to the list proper, a couple of moments that we’ve already written about deserve an honorable mention. There was the time Michael eviscerated a guy heckling his shoes by going off in the second half and shushing him like a baby. That was the best, especially considering the sneakers the guy was mocking were the now-iconic AJ XIs, one of the best signature releases in Air Jordan history, and considered by many to be the best.

On the other end of the spectrum is Jordan, a year after his second retirement, mercilessly devastating a young Bulls wing in a one-on-one game while ruthlessly trash talking. Both are treasured memories by MJ fans everywhere, but neither are quite memorable enough to make our list. Speaking of our list…
