With Sunday’s announcement of his upcoming retirement, Kobe Bryant’s next signature model will be the final one he wears in an NBA game. Nike’s rumored to be moving up the release date for the Kobe 11 from the originally scheduled launch in January 2016 to something much sooner. The first look we’re getting here is of the grade school version, meaning the pics may or may not be spot-on for adult sizes, but they’re still good enough to give a general impression of what to expect.
And what we can expect appears to be more of the same because Kobe and Tinker Hatfield, who’s rumored to be the designer for the Mamba’s last hurrah, opted to stick with the familiar lower cut like most of Kobe’s previous models. Again, nothing concrete here in terms of technologies used, but the one-piece upper and translucent soles complete the look. Stay tuned for a solid release date and official pics to come along really soon.
