Before this week, we’ve only seen photos for the ‘ultra secretive’ film, Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets. MTV’s Josh Horowitz was able to go on set of the Luc Besson sci-fi epic to chat with Besson as well as the film’s stars Cara Delevingne and Dane DeHaan. Horowitz asks Delevingne why this film has been kept under wraps from most of the media and she replies, “Because it’s going to be the best movie of all time.”

That might be a little premature to say given the film’s July 21, 2017 release date, but we do know that Delevingne looks like a total badass and apparently that will be shining through on screen. She tells Horowitz that she loves that her tomboy side comes out in the role of Laureline. DeHaan who is in the lead role of Valerian gives a bit of an abridged version of the history of Valérian and Laureline; the French comic that the new film is based on.  DeHann explains that Valérian and Laureline has inspired some of the most important sci-fi films of our time such as Star Wars and Avatar.

Rihanna is also starring in what has been described as a ‘big role’ in Valerian, but nothing about her character has been revealed. Horowitz tries to pry some RiRi info out of Delevingne and DeHaan, but they didn’t say a peep. However, a few months ago, Besson did praise the singer regarding her acting chops.
