Threaten your calendar all you like. It won’t make the May 5, 2017 release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 get here any sooner. (We’ve tried.) At least there’s a new batch of behind-the-scenes pics to help ease that void.
Writer-director James Gunn added to last week’s limited but welcome crop of snaps from the production with a new arrival on Instagram. Having franchise stars like Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista added to the mix amps up the star power a bit, plus Sean Gunn does a comedy thumb gesture which is always a nice touch.
Does it look like Zoe Saldana’s head/neck is contorted to a Regan from The Exorcist angle or are we going berserk? DAMN YOUR CONFUSING FASHION DYNAMICS, ZOE! While we’re on the subject of Zoe and social media, here’s what the Star Trek Beyond star posted in regard to her Guardians filming return. Steady yourself. One of these items was tweeted on Groundhog Day.
The gentle trickle of behind-the-scenes pics also includes a big close up of what’s arguably the franchise’s biggest star. That’s right, we’re talking about the Awesome Mix. Oh and some guy named Chris Pratt took the picture and poured his heart about his excitement for the series in the accompanying caption. There’s also a tremendous argument for expanding your vocabulary in that collection of words.
Feels good to be back in action on Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2!!! I can't even tell you how excited I am. Ok I'll try. I'm ecstatic. I'm bursting with joy. I'm overwhelmed by feelings of enthusiasm, joy, gratitude, conviviality, camaraderie, elation, exhilaration. I just used an online thesaurus for these words. I suggest trying that. That way instead of saying "I'm very excited" say, "I'm exhilarated." Never too late to learn words. The pen is mightier than the sword. I never got that. I could whoop someone's ass if I had a sword and they only had a pen. WAIT!!! Now I get it. Cause you could use a giant pen with a dagger on one end? And a gun on the other end? No? Whatever. Point is… Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time. This is not…. bear with me… using online thesaurus….. Hyperbole! This is not hyperbole!
JUST BE 2017 ALREADY!
