The New ‘Fantastic Four’ Trailer Gives Us A Look At Our Doom

We haven’t actually seen much in the way of new footage from Fantastic Four, which is a bit odd because the movie arrives in less than a month. Fortunately, the new trailer has just arrived, and it lays out a bit more of what’s actually happening.

It looks, quite a bit, like Doom’s big plan is to suck the world into the Negative Zone. If you’re particularly sharp-eyed, you might notice that there’s plenty of glowing green rocks in the Negative Zone, and that Doom has a lot of glowing green veins. It also appears that Harvey Elder wants our heroes as weapons, which will likely be a source of plot tension throughout the movie, and that Reed has been working on the Fantasticar for a while. Finally, the Thing gets his Hulk on in the trailer, and trashes a few tanks.

Overall, this gives us a much better sense of the scale, and honestly, it looks pretty good. The Thing in particular seems well-rendered, but we really wish they’d render him up some pants. Come on, nobody wants to see the Thing running around like a Ken doll. That forces us to wonder where his junk is, and that’s just distracting.
