It’s been barely a week since Jon Stewart give us a comprehensive guide to the NFL’s Ray Rice saga on The Daily Show, and that segment is already woefully outdated. So many awful and stupid things have happened since.

So Stewart — with a fresh bushel of sad targets ranging from Greg Hardy to league executives to Adrian Peterson to the Minnesota Vikings to Sean Hannity — wiped the slate clean and started with a new rant yesterday. As he points out, you know things are bad when “a company that sells alcohol is the moral touchstone of the NFL.”

You also know the league is being run incompetently when its bosses (or: “people who don’t know what the fuck they’re doing”) are getting more negative headlines than the players who keep abusing their own families.
