A Texans Fan Learned Why You Should Never Post A Picture Of Your Airline Ticket On Facebook

Houston Texans fan Alice Rodriguez received a terrific birthday present from her boyfriend, Carlos prior to last weekend’s game. He surprised her with plane tickets to Jacksonville to see their favorite team the Texans take on the Jaguars. She was so excited, in fact, that they decided to post a picture of their boarding passes on a Texans Facebook fan page. There was just one slight problem, however. A Jaguars fan who went by the twitter handle “Duval Undertaker” saw the picture, called the airline and cancelled the tickets.

Nice prank, Skeezik.

Shortly afterwards, Carlos received an email from the airline to notify him of the cancellation. An odd thing, since he hadn’t actually cancelled them.

They eventually straightened everything out with the airline and made it to Florida, but not before their story went viral. By the time they arrived at the stadium, Alice was a bit of a mini celebrity.

“We got there and it was, like, unbelievable because everybody knew us! It was like, ‘You are those Texan fans!'”

Alice and Carlos quickly took advantage of their new-found fame by taking pictures with Jaxson de Ville (whom you may remember), tailgating with fans, and even got sideline passes to the game.

So all’s well that ends well for the happy couple.

Oh, and as for our prankster? He recently deleted his twitter account and may face fraud charges. Hope it was worth it. You have to admit, it was a pretty damn good prank.
