On Saturday, Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford learned he was the leading vote-getter among goalies for the NHL All-Star game to be held January 25th in Columbus, OH. This will be the first All-Star appearance for the veteran goalie who is currently in his fifth season as starter for the Blackhawks.

On Sunday night against the Dallas Stars, however, for a brief second he looked like anything but an All-Star with this spectacular turnover in the early part of overtime.

Thankfully for the Blackhawks, just as spectacular as Crawford’s turnover was his recovery and save which extended the game long enough for Patrick Sharp to score the game-winner just 20 seconds later.

The Hawks improved to 26-11-2 and are tied for first in the Central division with the Nashville Predators with 54 points. The Predators do have a game in hand, however.
