This College Basketball Coach Celebrated So Hard He Tore His Achilles Tendon

GA Southern

Georgia State won its conference tournament on Sunday, taking out Georgia Southern to win the Sun Belt Championship. This is great news for the Panthers, and they should be really happy they’re going to the Big Dance, but they should also remember their coach is 50 years old. Which means he has 50-year-old Achilles tendons. Which tend to go pop when you least expect them to, as coach Ron Hunter learned the hard way.

That’s the coach being helped off the floor during the team’s celebration. But this didn’t stop Hunter from giving his post-game press conference.

How he approaches coaching his team in the NCAA Tournament with one good leg remains to be seen. But a coach roaming the sidelines on crutches could be pretty awesome.
