This High School Wrestling Coach Allegedly Had Sex With A Wrestler On The School Bus

Earlier this week, a grand jury in Cass County, Mo. indicted 25-year-old Megan Blair Baker (pictured above) on charges of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old student. According to investigators, Baker, a teacher and the assistant wrestling coach at Cass High, had sex with the teen on the school bus. He later told all his friends about it (of course he did), which is how his parents found out. Not too long after that, the father of the teen reported the incident to investigators.

“We heard it happened on a school bus and the boy was openly bragging about it,” Sherwood Cass parent Linda Aldin said. “He was telling everyone he had sex with the woman.”

“It just really shocked us,” Aldin said. “I never dreamed that it would happen at our school.”

Another resident in the community, Mike Hawkins, added his thoughts:

“It’s like the law says, a student and teacher is a no-no. They were going out long before his mom found out.”

The school immediately placed Baker on paid administrative leave. They also issued this statement on their Facebook page:

“Allegations involving staff misconduct have recently been brought to our attention. Although the district is prohibited from publicly discussing matters involving identifiable students and/or staff, it wants to assure its patrons and the public that ensuring the safety and security of its students is its highest priority. The district is committed to take all reasonable measures to ensure the safety of our students and will continue to do so. The district takes all allegations of staff misconduct seriously, and when such allegations are involved, it is standard procedure to place the involved staff on paid administrative leave pending any investigation. The district is committed to investigating such allegations promptly and thoroughly, and consistent with adopted board policies that govern staff conduct and provide procedures for the investigation of such allegations.”

Baker posted bond after the arrest. She is banned from school property. [KCTV]
